How is Dacia pronounced ?
Dacia is pronounced “Datch-a”.
Where does Dacia come from?
Dacia was founded in Romania in 1966. The Renault Group bought the Romanian car manufacturer Dacia in September 1999. Through shared technology and production methods, Renault has helped Dacia become a global icon in its own right, selling to 3.5 million customers worldwide
Where are Dacia cars built?
Dacia holds production facilities across the globe, including Romania and Morocco. UK versions of Dacia Duster and Logan MCV are built in Pitesti, in Romania. UK versions of Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway are built in Tangiers, in Morocco.
What is the link between Renault and Dacia?
The Renault Group wholly bought Dacia in 1999. Dacia is now a brand of the Renault Group. Dacia vehicles use useful and proven technology from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Whilst Dacia is a separate franchise from Renault, all current Renault dealerships are also Dacia retailers in the UK.
Are Dacia cars reliable?
Our simple range of cleverly designed cars uses proven technology and our vehicles are built to stand the toughest conditions across the globe. Maybe that’s why Dacia finished in second place, just behind Audi, in the 2010 J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Survey, in Germany. In 2011, Dacia was also voted “Europe’s Most Reliable Car Brand” in a survey of 29,000 car owners across 5 Western European countries.*
All Dacia vehicles come with a comprehensive 3 year / 60,000 mile** warranty as standard, as well as a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty and a 2-year paint warranty. If you intend to keep your vehicle for longer, you can opt for one of four extended warranties for added peace of mind:
4 year / 60,000 miles**: £250
4 year / 80,000 miles**: £295
5 years / 60,000 miles**: £395
7 years / 100,000 miles**: £850
An extended warranty can be purchased at any time up until one year after the first date of registration.

Are Dacia cars safe? What about the Euro NCAP rating?
All Dacia vehicles come with a good level of standard safety equipment to protect vehicle occupants. All versions of Duster, Sandero and Sandero Stepway are equipped with:
- Driver’s, passenger’s and front side airbags
- Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
- Height-adjustable front headrests
- 3 x 3-point rear seatbelts
- Front seatbelt pre-tensioners
Additionally, all versions of Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway feature Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (ASR) and Daytime Running Lights (DRL) as standard.
At the Euro NCAP safety test, Dacia Duster scored the following results:
- Adult Occupant Protection: 4 stars
- Child Occupant Protection: 5 stars
- Pedestrian Impact Protection: 4 stars
- Safety Assist: 3 stars
This gave an overall score of 3 stars (EuroNCAP take the lowest score from the four categories to determine the overall star rating).
The EuroNCAP Safety Assist test score comprises 3 elements. Duster achieved the following results:
- Speed limiter - 0 pts (as it is not available on Duster)
- Electronic Stability Control - 0 pts (as it is not fitted as standard to all Duster)
- Seatbelt reminder 2 pts
In line with Dacia’s brand philosophy, we do not force all customers to pay a premium for equipment they do not value. This is why Electronic Stability Control is available as a £350 option on Dacia Duster Ambiance and Lauréate versions for customers who wish to specify it.
Dacia Sandero achieved a 4* EuroNCAP rating in the recent tests. Like all Dacia models, New Sandero is a safe vehicle. Its cabin has been engineered to serve as a ‘survival cell’ with a programmed crumple zone, while ABS, ESC, front airbags and ISOFIX anchorage are standard passive safety features. Additionally, all versions of Sandero are fitted with Electronic Stability Control and Daytime Running Lights as standard.

Are there any plans to bring other Dacia models (e.g. Lodgy and Dokker) to the UK ?
The four models commercialised in the UK (Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Logan MCV and Duster) have been selected because they are the most appropriate for the British market.
There are not and there are currently no plans to bring Logan saloon, Lodgy and Dokker vehicles to the UK as they are not produced in right-hand drive and the limited market potential does not justify the development costs that would be needed to commercialise them.

Can I have an LPG version of Dacia models?
LPG versions of Dacia models are not available on the UK Dacia range. However in some European markets, notably Spain, where there is strong LPG demand, the decision has been made locally to sell these versions.
Can I have an automatic gearbox on the Dacia range?
Automatic gearboxes are not currently available on the Dacia range.
Is the Dacia Duster suitable for off-road use?
Yes. 4x4 versions of Dacia Duster have excellent off-road capability, featuring a selectable 3 mode 4-wheel-drive system, wide clearance angles and a short first gear ratio to aid traction on loose surfaces. Dacia Duster’s off-road ability helped it to achieve the 2014 Carbuyer.co.uk Best Small SUV.

5. Warranty, Servicing & Repair
What is the standard manufacturer’s warranty on Dacia vehicles ?
The standard manufacturer’s warranty is 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever limit is reached first. All new Dacia vehicles also come with a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty and a 2-year paint warranty. Customers wishing to extend the standard manufacturer’s warranty can choose from four options:
4 year / 60,000 miles*: £250
4 year / 80,000 miles*: £295
5 years / 60,000 miles*: £395
7 years / 100,000 miles*: £850
An extended warranty can be purchased at any time up until one year after the first date of registration.
Does my warranty extension remain valid on my vehicle if I sell it ?
Yes. Both the standard manufacturer’s warranty and extended warranties remain with the vehicle and expire on the first of the two stated limits reached.

Is my warranty valid if my vehicle is used outside of the UK ?
Yes. The Warranty applies to any vehicle sold new and registered in the United Kingdom, as long as it is driven and remains registered in the following European countries:

If a Vehicle is likely to be principally used or registered outside the countries detailed above, the Customer cannot benefit from the warranty and the warranty will be invalid.
What is the servicing interval on Dacia vehicles ?
To keep things simple, all Dacia vehicles share the same servicing internval:
1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever is reached first.

Do Dacia vehicles come with breakdown assistance as standard?
Yes. We don't expect it to happen. But we'll ensure help is on hand if it does. All new Dacia vehicles come with 3 years’ AA Roadside Assistance as standard. We’ll provide prompt assistance in the UK and Northern Ireland for the first 3 years / 60,000 miles*

6. Ordering & Delivery
How do I order a Dacia?
At Dacia, we believe you should be able to choose the buying process to suit you. That’s why you can order your vehicle from home via our website and simply pay for and collect it from your chosen Dacia retailer when it’s ready. Click here to see our product range and order your vehicle online.

When will I receive my car?
Your chosen Dacia retailer will inform you of a forecast delivery date for your car. Lead times will depend on the specification of vehicle ordered, and are subject to availability. Some versions may be available from stock.
What should I do if I want to cancel my online order?
Please contact your chosen retailer, who will be able to inform you of the process. For any online order for which you have placed a deposit via credit or debit card, this will be refunded to the original payment card upon receipt of confirmation of cancellation from your chosen retailer.
My personal details have changed. How do I update my account to reflect this?
To update your personal details, you will need to log in to your account and make all necessary changes in the appropriate fields. This does not affect the status of your order. You should also contact your fulfilling dealership to advise them of this change.
What should I do if I wish to change my chosen Dacia dealership to fulfill my order?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to retrospectively change your fulfilling dealership on your order. If you wish to make this change, you will need to cancel your order by calling Customer Services on 0344 335 1111*. You will then receive a refund of your order deposit. You will then need to resubmit a order, following the standard procedure.
I experienced problems with my computer or internet connection whilst placing my order. How can I be sure that my order was successfully placed?
All successfully placed orders will generate a confirmation email to the email address registered on your account. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail, your attempt has not been successful and you will need to resubmit a order, following the standard procedure.
