Technology

Duster hybrid 155 combines a 109 hp 1 4-cylinder engine, a 49 hp1 electric motor, a 1.4 kWh (280V) battery and an innovative clutchless multi-mode automatic gearbox.

How it works

Duster’s full hybrid powertrain, with its 155 hp and 205 Nm of maximum torque2 offers dynamic 100% electric starting and rapid acceleration.

The battery is charged on the move with regenerative braking, which uses regenerative energy recovery during deceleration and braking, and allows 80% of city travel time to be achieved in all-electric mode3.

Technology

The 140 hp powertrain combines a new-generation 3-cylinder 1.2 L turbocharged gasoline engine based on the Miller cycle (optimised efficiency and fewer pumping losses) with a lightweight 48V hybrid system and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

How it works

The hybrid system backs up the combustion engine during start-up and acceleration, optimising driving pleasure.

Technology

Duster Hybrid 150 4x4 combines a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 140 hp¹ with a 48V electric motor producing 16 hp¹, a rear 48V electric motor producing 31 hp, and a 0.8 kWh battery. The internal combustion engine is paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The rear electric motor is coupled to a 2-speed automatic transmission and an automatic clutch to reduce energy loss.

How it works

Duster's hybrid 4x4 powertrain delivers 150 hp of power and a maximum torque of 230 Nm², with dynamic set offs and quick acceleration made possible by the rear electric motor.

The battery charges while driving through energy recovery during braking or deceleration, allowing for 60% of city driving to be done in all-electric mode.³ In permanent 4x4 mode, the rear electric motor can be powered by the battery or the front motor/generator.

1 Actual power output of 153 hp.

2  230 Nm of torque from the internal combustion engine, 87 Nm of torque from the rear electric motor

3 Results of in-house tests using the urban (low) phase of the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle). Percentage of travel time, depending on actual driving conditions (road type, driving style and weather conditions).
