needs a software update as nothing working on the touchscreen and garage couldn't do it because they hadn't got the correct hardware to connect to vehicle. I am driving round with no heating/cooling, no sensors, cameras or speed recognition. Doesn't connect to My phone so no hands free

Ongoing intermittent problems with the entertainment system, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. 1st gear is too low and you find yourself trying to start off in second gear or else the engine is screaming by the time your halfway across a junction.

DAB radio hasn’t worked since day one and fm is very poor garage I purchased car from has been a disgrace and Dacia themselves , how can a car be released with issues then over a year later still have them with still no update available ?

I met David Reed aka Dacia Dave through my husband who purchased 2 joggers with him. Coming from a negative previous experience at another car dealership, Dave was a refreshing pleasure to deal with, funny, friendly but professional courteous and knowledgeable speaking to me directly not through my husband or assuming I know nothing about cars like many sales people do. He advised and guided without pushing or influencing me through the whole process buying a new duster in December 2024. I was expecting to order one for March delivery but was thrilled when he showed me my perfect car already available in the dealership. A week later I drove out in my new wheels after he did everything to get the car prepared and ready for me in a short space of time and before Christmas.
Sadly it came to light pretty quickly that the vehicle had a few ‘issues’ but nothing was too much trouble for Dave, Wes the Sales Manager and the Service Team, Hannah and Caitlin. Always polite, cheerful and reassuring they got me through an upsetting time with my new car getting it sorted as quickly as possible, giving it another valet and a fuel up too so it came back to me looking good as new only this time it worked properly too.
Dave stands out over other dealers (and I’ve met quite a few over the years) as he is genuine, can’t do enough to help, maintains contact even when things get difficult and treats us like old friends every time we walk in the building.
I am very much a Dacia convert and we are a two Dacia household now thanks to Dave and the Dacia Team.

OK, My Duster drives like a dream, BUT much more information about the running of the car and ALL its guarantees would have been MOST helpful.
OK, so it is a completely new model and I know that the Dacia sales person had been on a one day course prior to me picking up the car, to find out more, but, perhaps they should have been driving around in one before handing it across to me.
ALSO, if you have no Smart phone then how do you find out how the car functions - especially when you are driving along and something unexpectedly happens? What if you do have a Smart phone but you cannot get a mobile signal?
In the past any car that I have driven has come with a comprehensive paper manual but, this time, just a very shortened version of one. No good to me!
I now have a full one from Dacia, several weeks after requesting it! Better late than never! Thank you Dacia. All 101 pages have been read through, but there are still some missing items!
As time goes by Dacia's Sales personnel will get to know the car better. Three months on I'm still learning. No doubt, more to follow.

I am impressed with most aspects of my Duster 1.2 TCe Journey. Best points are the comfortable seats, media system sound quality, smooth gearbox, great looks, it is fuel efficient with plenty of power. The ride is magnificent and it handles really well for an SUV. Small things I am not as keen on are the 1.2 while having plenty of power, is a little noisy and the gearing takes getting used to. The interior doesn't feel particularly well screwed together with some squeaks and rattles. The carpets are very very cheap feeling. The leg room behind the drivers seat is compromised because of the battery unit under the front seat. Dacia could also do with making the floor mats a better shape to cover more of the very cheap carpets. However, I would recommend it as it is lovely to drive, comfortable (for 3 people!) and easily achieves 50MPG on a run. And compared to the price of most cars, it does represent better value, but compromises have to be made somewhere to achieve this.

Not bad, but the software is a little buggy.
For example, the front-camera repeated "loses connectivity", especially in cold weather which is strange. Often I'll get the message while driving, which will disable certain driver safety features, then usually minutes later it'll recover.
I had an issue with Android auto where the sound for the all-round parking sensors stopped working. The sensors themselves were fine, and were showing detection on the dashboard.
I went into Android auto settings, and in the sound configuration, I could hear the other sounds when selecting a different sound or setting the volume, but the parking sensors were silent not matter what I did.
The only way I was able to recover this was to completely set the Android auto back to factory defaults, then reconfigure.
The car is great, but the software is buggy.

Fantastic vehicle overall, love to just go for a drive.
There are a few things I would look to improve on though. Namely,
- DAB is very limited in the selection of stations available (UK). I've read that an update is available. At a cost which could be considered excessive.
But , haven't heard anything direct from DACIA on this.
- The cameras perform very well, after some adjustment to contrast of the image. However, the reverse lamp is not bright enough. I must stress, the Illumination from the reverse light is extremely poor, to the point of being hazardous.
- The field of view through the windscreen and front side windows is quite limited at times. Blindspots become apparent quickly at just actions.
But overall a really enjoyable drive, and so much in the design to please.

The car is beautifully optimised for road driving, giving both an economy gear and a higher gear for more precise control for all speeds up to and including 50 mph. It is wonderfully narrow, perfect for the mountain roads where we holiday, and great power for getting up the hills. Carrying capacity is also perfect for a dump run and good for longer holidays. I also love the demisters, they are the best on any car I've owned, while automatic wipers and lights plus heated seats are a dream for us older folks after going out for exercise, and I love the way the wing mirrors fold themselves away.
If the passenger seat folded forwards it could be useful for DIY purchases. Also worth reviewing the visibility to the left when approaching a junction at an accute angle.

car is ok, but i worry about the rattly automatic transmission at low speeds and in reverse with 4 people in its very juddery. Another disappointment is the dab radio reception, took it to the dealers after a week, they tested it and found that it had very limited DAB reception. They contacted dacia uk and were informed that it is a known firmware issue and is not scheduled for prioritised rectification. Also Startins, the dealership, said that i had to contact Dacia to find out when the radio firmware upgrade will be available then arrange with them for the radio to be upgraded!!!. Appalling that a new vehicle is sold, with a known radio issue, that the dealership does not inform a potential customer about!!, that could deter a potential sale
