I’ve found the car to be very spacious and comfortable to drive, especially on longer journeys. Around town, the automatic gearbox is excellent – smooth at low speeds and very well suited to traffic conditions.

The adaptive cruise control is a bit of a double-edged sword. In slow-moving traffic it works brilliantly, handling stopping and starting with ease. However, at higher speeds you need to pull out to overtake sooner than you might expect, otherwise the car slows down quite noticeably.

One concern is in heavy rain, where the adaptive cruise control can stop functioning properly or, worse, attempt an emergency stop. In these conditions, I would recommend switching to the speed limiter instead.

Gear changes can sometimes feel a bit clunky, with the engine revving quite high before shifting up. That said, this is less noticeable when using adaptive cruise control.

Fuel economy is currently averaging around 47.5 mpg. While that’s below the advertised 60 mpg, it does seem to be gradually improving after a few months of ownership.

At low speeds and on hill starts, the car feels very controlled and easy to manage, which inspires confidence.

Finally, the heated steering wheel – something I initially thought was a gimmick – has turned out to be one of my favourite features, especially on cold mornings.

I’ve been using my Dacia since January 2026, and so far it has been a solid and enjoyable experience. The fuel economy has been impressive, especially for regular commuting, and the car consistently feels efficient without compromising performance. The comfortable seats make longer journeys much easier, and I appreciate the supportive design.

Phone connectivity has also been smooth — phone synchronization is quick and reliable, which makes hands‑free driving and navigation effortless. On the road, the car delivers a smooth ride with good handling and stability.

I’ve given it 4 stars for now, simply because I’m still in the early months of ownership. As I continue driving it through different conditions and over a longer period, I’ll update my rating based on long‑term performance.

Purchased a new Dacia Duster 155 hybrid on 24/1/26 got ten miles from dealership and it developed a gearbox fault returned to dealership for repair ! after a week vehicle was repaired and returned! Not a great start to the ownership ! March of the same year wife got a puncture phones Dacia Assist who would not turn out for a puncture ! Local garage out of hours call out to fit space saver wheel at a cost of £60 !

Attended KwikFit the next day for a replacement tyre under the GardX insurance scheme only to find that KwikFit had frozen the GardX account so we had to pay for the new tyre ! Has taken nearly three weeks to get reimbursed for the cost of the tyre ! Not impressed!!

Pretty good so far. Engine seems to fire up quite loudly and expectedly. Rev counter would be useful. MPG is good (not as advertised though)

I Use on 90 minute journeys, quite comfortable.

Getting used to the high level front, but sensors help. Wireless charging gets quite hot, can affect operation of Phone!. Only had 3/4 months so a way to go.

Service excellent.

Dont like that the arm rest is fixed, the storage area under the arm rest is not any use.

Change the arm rest back & put the storage box back under passanger seat

Like the automatic lights - dipping/fullbeam, rain senser window wipers

Electric handbrake is good once you get used to it

No nonsense, does what I need it to do, 4wd small car at a great price. Improvements I would like - I'd like a rotary knob volume control, so much easier than the buttons, same for the temperature control. And don't stop me reversing just because I open the door to see where I'm reversing.

Design is great.

Opening doors from inside is an issue in the wind. The handle is to close to the hinges side of the door,the wind catches the door and you are almost pulled out , the fulcrum is wrong so you have to hold the glove compartment to stop the door being ripped of its hinges.

Easy to drive comfortable and smooth

Back seat could do with an arm rest cup holders are in an arkward place and connecting the phone is quite hard also the boot needs a handle on the inside or be motorised and I don't like the back door handles very hard to use and feel a bit cheap

Exceeded my expectations. Unsolicted positive comments on the design and extensive features, and many requests from golf club members to have a look inside the car and boot. I now expect to see a few Dusters and Bigsters rolling into the car park!

Excellent quality, value for the price, solid, comfortable, economical, even the "base" model is loaded with gadgets, a fantastic sat nav (connected via phone) reverse camera - averaging 1000 miles a month, brilliant 👏
