My previous Dacia Duster (a 2022 diesel 4x4) was the best car I’ve ever had: this is not nearly as good. The engine is OK although I need to change gear as often as I had to on my old 2-stroke motorbike to keep the eco-hints happy. However, in general I would sum up the problems as too much tech which doesn’t work very well. I hate the lack of a “proper” handbrake - it makes hill starts difficult and causes problems rolling back even on quite gentle slopes. The speed limiter keeps switching itself on even when select to turn it off in my safety preferences, and when it rains the front camera keeps losing visibilty anyway. I have problems getting the car to link with my phone for Apple car play.

I wish I had kept my old car instead, which is a pity as I have always loved my previous Dusters, and there are some really good things about this car - but the annoying tech problems are really off-putting and annoying

I like the high driving position and good solid feel of the vehicle, which I think is great value for money. It is very enjoyable to drive and the controls are all easily at hand. I am not quite so keen on the electronic hand brake, but I expect I will get used to it. I do find the armrest on the centre console does get in the way somewhat when you are putting on your seatbelt. What would be really useful is a USB socket above the rear view mirror to make fitting a dash cam easier.

Much better performance than my previous car. I like the heated steering wheel as I suffer Reynauds syndrome.

Dislike intensely the speed limit recognition system as it is often wildly incorrect, particularly on the M4 and some other roads. I have managed without such a system for more than 60yrs and wish I could turn it off completely. The gear shift operation is illogical as I have to push forward instead of pull back to reverse.

I really like driving the car it,s ,comfortable and economical and powerful a couple of niggle,s as follows.

Wing mirror cameras could be adjustable to increase side views.

Boot floor is high, could spare wheel go underneath as mk11.

Rear door handles colour coded as per bodywork.

Automatic tailgate would be useful.

Twin, brighter reversing lights.

Reversing beeper.

These are small points as we would purchase another Dacia.

The sales experience was excellent - attentive and efficient.

On the down side I would have preferred a proper hand book and manual for the infotainment system - which by the way falls down on the bluetooth system repeatedly losing connectivity to my phone.

Overall I can whole heartedly recommend the car.

A good car but the new dashboard and controls are complex.( Manual over 400 pages!) It would be helpful if new owners, especially of the older generation were given some basic instructions ( ie;- an hours drive ) by salesmen.

Many people have a collection of CDs and there should be CD players in new cars

Heating system could be made to get warmer quicker. You have to drive a few miles before gauge is showing full heat.

The hazard lights switch is to easily put on accidentally when moving the fan switch, possibly move it to a separate area of dashboard?

Trim foot step not fit for purpose. Sat nav unreliable, road speed indicator not reliable, auto door mirror ok when not frosty, and when frosty does not work. Seat belt anchor fir front driver and passenger difficult to locate, needs better access.

I recently bought a new 4x4 Duster replacing my previous one.

My new car is lovely but I miss the punch of the diesel engine. And there's too many gizmos, i don't need Lane assist and a driving score.

Aside from that I love the brand 😊

good driving experience it took some time to get used to the electronic hand brake. also the lane correction can be a bit of a problem when driving on narrow country roads , would be great on motorways
