The engine won’t start , the control panel tells us to put card on the zone and we do this numerous times , sometimes for 15 minutes before it starts the engine

Do I love the bigster? Yes but…

The Bigster fit the bill for a good size, affordable family car with enough gadgets to feel good with practicality of life with horses and dogs. The car is like a big comfy armchair drive but it has a bit of oomph when required. The MPG is good and while I think it sounds a little chunky swapping between petrol and electric sometimes, it swaps efficiently and gives a massive range of miles.

I love the colour I chose and I purchased some extras which made practical sense for a family doing lots of outdoor activities… this is where they let themselves down!

After weeks of chasing it was booked in, struggled to get the promised courtesy car or find the booking and then still had a part outstanding which I’m STILL waiting for.

I guess my advice is make sure they can actually get the accessories before ordering or make sure you pick a model/ trim with them included!

I like the technology and safety. Petrol economy is miraculous - 51mpg over 2400 miles and based on actual fuel fill-ups - not onboard computer which in common with other cars over-estimates the level of economy.

I don't like the restriction regarding not "loading" the spare wheel compartment - even when no spare wheel is carried. This would be the only useable space for the essential "stuff" that every motorist needs to carry around. My "stuff" is now in the main luggage compartment which is untidy and restricts the space for actual luggage.

I love the smooth ride (Journey 19" wheels), and the length of journey I can take when I run it on a full tank. I don't like the rev'ing of the engine as it charges the battery at awkward times - e.g. at traffic lights - I wonder how the engine sounds to people stood waiting to cross the road? Do they think I'm impatient with them since my engine is rev'ing? Also, the connection with my phone doesn't work 100% of the time - especially if someone else also has their phone linked to the car.

This is probably one of the best cars I have owned!

I’ve had a lot of cars from Ford, Toyota to Land Rover and this one so far has been great. I average about 600 miles to the tank and as the weather is heating up the better the fuel economy.

It’s a smooth drive with lots of safety features. The only thing that is slightly noisy is the engine regen when charging the battery, my Toyota did it but no where near as loud.

Love the car for the practicality of it and the space it provides.

I have had my bigster now for 3 months and love it,I bought it because I have 2 large dogs and it swallows them with no problems,I like the regenerative braking feature and as it is a hybrid the range that it gives me if driven sensibly.a couple of niggles though the front seat belts are a bit fiddly as the centre console gets in the way could do with being longer,and there are no rear grab handles which is awkward for me as I have nowhere to attach the rear seat dog cover.

The economy from my Bigster Journey 1.8 hybrid is outstanding. The load capacity is second to none. The layout is clean and tasteful and the design just looks great. The steering is a little vague, though I can live with that but what I cannot tolerate is that the MyDacia app hasn't worked since I bought the car some three months ago and 'nobody' is offering help or providing updates on this problem.

I really like almost all aspects of the Bigster, the size, boot space the drive the cabin features the look of it and the value for money. My only complaints are some minor rattles with the phone holder by the steering wheel that are annoying.

The car also occasionally 'hiccups' where it seems to misfire during acceleration, however this is extremely rare and hard to replicate.

The display screen always crashes and hardly works. It also wont work properly in hot weather as the way its positioned is a bad design as its directly hit by the sun unlike other cars. Also the speed noise indicator comes on randomly even when turned off. These are the only things that iv picked up other than that car is great
