I absolutely love my Dacia Spring Extreme. It’s smaller than my old car but I was able to test drive a demo car before getting mine and this was great to adjust to it and get to know the car. The demo has added extras like the roof bars and arm rest which helped me decide what I wanted to customise my own with (I went for the arm rest!!). It’s such a great car. Fab storage space, great tech, easy to work, great app and wonderful customer service.

You get what you pay for, a fun little electric car which is perfect for local journeys.

Positives: fast charge is a must, enjoyably fast acceleration, very comfortable for a small car. Negatives: boot doesn't shut without a slam, the media screen sometimes takes a minute to wake up.

I would recommend the Spring to anyone with the proviso that person knows what they want. It isnt a luxurious long range car and is never going to be....

I suffer from lower, back pain due to spondulitis, and do not find the seat in my Dacia as comfortable as in my old car. I use an extra cushion but need a softer support for my back. Sadly all modern cars I have sat in use a hard foam. My old Volvo has sprung seating and its bucket seats were really comfortable for long drives.

I understand the Dacia is advertised as a city car, but even after a few miles my back begins to ache.

Glitchy electronics, a boot lid that will only close if your hand is in a very specific place, tyres with the ride quality of 2p piece's, a heater that really struggles to keep you warm (that will be due to the lack of insulation) and a regeneration system that actively fights you, you can feel the car buck as is kicks in and out, oh and a fault with the charging system that they are fixing but aren't telling anyone about.

Love the car. Budget and economical wise very good. Comfortable and easy to drive. Nice boot size. Ideal for short journeys. Planning is key for long journeys. Lightweight for obvious reasons but do feel the high winds. Big boot. Shame it doesn't have a fifth seat belt but 4 seater even though get 5 in easy.

Expect later versions to have increased mileage range.

Really good entry level to the ev world. Have learned much.

I bought the car purely for local trips typically 50 miles round trip. Back seat has never been used. Permanently down to accommodate big dog.

Car is unbelievablely cheap to run. Approx £4 for around 100 miles. Range, in good weather is 140.

On the downside, it's not ever so comfortable and the doors shut like a van with no attempt at refinement.

But it's an inexpensive runabout and imo is brilliant.

A few niggles: the screen doesn’t always pop up when I get in, and the Apple CarPlay regularly refuses to connect to my phone. The key is awful - not only is there no keyless start, the wretched thing doesn’t even fold up: a complete nuisance in my handbag.

The finish is very ‘minimalist’, but I suppose that’s what you get with a low priced car.

On the other hand, it’s very economical and very responsive.

Very comfortable and easy to drive. Plenty of room for a small car. People comment how good it looks.

It doesn't seem to charge to the full amount, and some of the controls seem to be a bit complicated. The younger generation find it no problem, but the Seniors like myself, who are more likely to use this car, sometimes find it awkward. However, I still like the car as it suits my needs admirably.

Spring is so nice to drive, but there is a massive problem when using cruse control on a slight down hill. The car brakes and then accelerates, then breaks harder, then accelerates and breaks, this becomes quite violent. A number of people are reporting the same fault on social media, so I assume It is a software issue. If it wasn't for this I would give the car 5 stars as I really love it.

I like it but we cannot understand all of the controls. We still haven't figured how to switch off the radio. . Itsalso cold in the winter. Otherwise very pleased. We haven't noticed any difference in our fuel bill but we do have solar panels. My husband does complain the the back seat comes in one piece. He would like a split seat so that he can carry another passenger and golf clubs
